Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, officials in Lagos announced on Wednesday evening. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash in the Lagos area on Monday, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
Joshua had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.
“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the commissioner stated.
Honoring the Deceased
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and full of emotions over the passing of his two close friends.”
