He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a distinct piece, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.
