The Initial Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for the Xbox brand. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a lesser-known competitor. Platform-specific outlets began covering on PS5 topics unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it's evident that Microsoft remains determined to engage players with quality releases on its key platform.
The Current Inclusions
A pair of titles you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's truly noteworthy.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
On Jan. 13, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of terror and combat."
Compelling Indie Titles
Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it merits a playthrough even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription in the first place. However, this batch of games are rock solid. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they warranted upon launch — rendering them excellent choices to experience a revival on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
