Two Men Face Charges In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Formal charges have been brought against two men in connection with a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was caught up in the incident in the event. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
This event – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
